The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2019

gardeners in a woodThe Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) is the highest award given to UK volunteer groups, and is equivalent to the MBE.

The prestigious award recognises exceptional work done by volunteer groups in their communities, and any group of two or more people doing volunteering work can be nominated.

Winners receive a certificate signed by the Queen and a domed glass crystal, and representatives from the group may also be invited to attend a royal garden party.

This year's winners are announced in a special Gazette supplement on 2 June.
